Time to Grub! (almost)

While digging up weeds in my backyard, I found a grub worm.  This is a tasty treat for older chickens so I thought I'd introduce it to Jane and Kate (another "first").  Jane was VERY interested in it...pecked it to death, but never ate it.  Mr. Grub is now suffering from traumatic brain injury and several broken legs.

Can't say they didn't try. He was just too big...for now
